Tournament Director
- The Tournament Director shall be responsible for organizing the Regional Tournament in accordance with USGA rules, UIL Constitution and Contest Rules.
- The Tournament Director shall notify each qualifying school as to how the tournament will be organized or run, allowing ample time for each member to prepare for the event.
- The Tournament Director shall, determine the site or sites for the Regional Golf Tournament.
Certification
The Tournament Director shall certify the final results and send them to the State Golf Tournament Director.

Practice Rounds
Once your player(s) have qualified you may schedule your practice round with the golf course. Times have been blocked for Sunday afternoon (Girls) and Tuesday afternoon (Boys). Practice round fees are $40/player including range balls. Carts will be available for practice rounds (contact the course about cart fees). Please make your check payable to: “Schreiner Golf Course” and bring your check to the coaches meeting.
Tournament Rounds
Tournament fees are $40 per player for each day for team and individual qualifiers including range balls. Each qualifying team will be issued a cart at no cost for each day. Medalists coaches may rent a cart for a reduced rate of $20 per day if you wish. Please make checks payable to “Schreiner Golf Course”, you may put practice and tournament fees on one check to make it easier.
Method of Determining the Regional Champion
- A total of thirty-six (36) holes shall be combined to determine the Regional Champions, second and third place teams qualifying for the State Tournament.
- The lowest combined score of the thirty-six (36) holes shall determine both Team Champions and Medalists honors as well as all State Qualifiers.
- The top three (3) individuals, not already on an advancing team, shall advance to the State Tournament as per UIL rules.
- Should weather prohibit the completion of thirty-six (36) holes, a completed eighteen (18) holes shall be used to determine Regional Champions and State Qualifiers.
Protests
Protests may be made in a timely manner, within one (1) hour of completing the round, to the Tournament Director, who may seek the advice of the PGA Professional, and the other Rules Officials concerning rules or other infractions and the decision will then be final. This final decision does not prohibit the filing of a complaint to the UIL. See handbook.
Coaches Note: The YO Ranch Hotel is our host hotel for the Tournament and is offering a discounted rate for all schools of $99 per room per night. There are numerous other hotels in Kerrville as well as restaurants, shops, etc.
